Below are some Frequently Asked Questions about Tru-Dually wheels fitment

MPT bead Compared to LT bead

MPT bead flange height is 25.5 mm

LT bead is 17.3 mm

Some tires will accept the taller flange but some may not

What size tires are recommend?

With no modifications 275/65r20 is recommended

  • 37x11.5 or 275/80r20 with no lift required, a slight fender trim and a possible narrow sway bar if preferred - Options below

Do I need another sway bar ? 

With 37" tires mounted they may touch the sway bar, Tru-Dually provides options to use a narrower sway bar such as

  • Factory F350 sway bar (cost about $150on eBay used)
  • Helwig 7712 (cost approximately $350)
  • Carli torsion sway bar (cost approximately $900)

Do I need a lift kit ? 

NO, you do not require a lift kit, our company truck has

  • No lift kit
  • Tru-Dually wheels 8.25x20 10x225
  • Continental 275/80r20 MPT tires
  • F350 sway bay
  • Slight fender trim
  • Front hub caps are trimmed 10mm to not hit the locking hubs

What’s better super singles 41" tires or Dually 37" tires, what’s the cost comparison?

Dually trucks were designed for maximum payload and stability, keeping the truck as close to factory is best. Our Tru-Dually wheels are rated for 5060lbs per wheel or over 30,000lbs combined. Ensuring proper load distribution over the rear axle.

Dually truck modifications with 37" tires

  • Narrower sway bar is optional

  • Cost approximately $2,000 plus tires

Super singles with 41"tires

  • Tires wheels

  • Unable to trade in to modified for most dealers

  • Cost approximately $20,000 to $50,000

For trucks running 37" tires the factory sway bar may rub at full lock. Below are the recommended sway bar options. Yes, F350 sway bars are the same bolt pattern and end link connections, as the frames and axles are the same. Tru-Dually perfect fitment and bolt right up.
